Nissan Magnite

The Magnite gives you a crossover seating position without a particularly large body. It is an easy format for a holiday: getting in and out at stops, carrying bags between hotels and keeping a useful view of the road.

It suits someone who wants a straightforward compact crossover rather than a sporty car or an elaborate cabin.

The EZ-Shift transmission works best with a relaxed approach. Its automatic changes can include a noticeable pause, particularly when you ask for quick acceleration. Get used to that response on a short drive before tackling busy traffic or a climb.

For coast, towns and an unhurried island route, the Magnite is a practical size. The higher body is useful for the driving position, but does not turn it into an off-road vehicle. Check the rear-seat and boot photographs if you are travelling with several cases.
